If the partition has been mounted to XP, unmount the xp disk.
　
Next, modify the/etc/group file and add your username at the end of the disk line to obtain the permission for direct access to the hard disk.
　
Create a new virtual machine on VMware server, select "use physical disk" on the hard disk, and select the partition to be connected.
　
Pay special attention to selecting the mbr partition. Otherwise, the mbr cannot be started.
　
After the disk is started, select VMware as the hard disk configuration file, and then start successfully.
