Dell pre-installed Linux releases Ubuntu into mainstream consumption computers

The latest Ubuntu version code 7.04, Feisty Fawn, is recognized as the most user-friendly Linux release. Dell did not say it planned to match the types of applications on these computers, but promised to use open-source drivers if possible. Drivers that have adopted the Linux kernel, such as drivers for storage, wired networks, power management, and USB interfaces, are not a problem. In some cases, such as wireless network adapters and printers, if both private systems and open source software are available, Dell selects the latter. But there are also some exceptions, such as the 3D driver used for video cards, Dell has decided to adopt a proprietary version. For these occasions, the best effect is the first consideration.
