Article title: The Linux team joined Intel to assist in the development of Atom programs. Linux is a technology channel of the IT lab in China. Includes basic categories such as desktop applications, Linux system management, kernel research, embedded systems, and open source.
"Poky Linux" and Matchbox development team OpenedHand announced that they have joined Intel and they will join the Intel Open Source Technology Center to develop Monlin for MID devices and other devices, the open-source software that originally belongs to OpenedHand will still be maintained and added to Moblin. OpenedHand has been downloaded from the open-source website of Intel Software Network.
Intel launched the Moblin project last summer. The project maintains a multi-layer sandbox (Virtual Environment) based on "Chroot". The goal is to standardize the development tools of Atom programs. In the "Chroot" at the lowest layer, sandbox is used to create a Linux program environment similar to Poky Linux.
Moblin was recently upgraded to 2.0. Intel's Linux and open-source strategy director Dirk Hohndel said that version 1.0 did not interest programmers, but with the advent of MID devices, as more and more software and web services support Moblin and MID devices, the platform has also taken a major step forward.
Another one that has been added to Moblin is Linpus.
