Linspire's chief executive Larry Kettler told shareholders that he had decided to sell all of Linspire's assets. This transaction includes Linspire, Freespire, and the CNR (Click-N-Run) desktop installation platform exclusive to the company's release.
This was not welcomed by all Linspire shareholders.
Xandros Desktop version 1 is based on Corel linux OS, which has won the grand prize. it can be called one of the oldest Linux distributions. Xandros has become a popular Linux release by preinstalling Xandros Linux on Asus's popular Eee computers. Xandros received a lot of revenue from Asus.
So far, neither Xandros nor Linspire has made any official comments on transactions. However, the representative of Xandros confirms the existence of the transaction.
