Create Managed Metadata Column

Once you have created the managed Metadata Service application and created the term, you can apply it to the site. The advantage of using Managedmetadata column is that administrators can manage it centrally in administration.

Find a list/library, click Create Column,

Select Managed Metadata:

Select term in the term Set Settings, which can go to any level:

Click OK.

Create a new item, in the managed Metadata column that you just built, you can enter a term, and SharePoint can only prompt:
