That is to say, all enterprise users who use Windows XP, Vista, Server 2003, and Server 2008 can automatically obtain IE8, provided that WSUS is configured to automatically allow the "Update rollup" software package. Microsoft said that users who do not want to upgrade to IE8 can disable automatic access to the "Update rollup" software package in WSUS before January 1, August 25, and select manual upgrade.
After June August 25, users who are unwilling to push IE8 can first synchronize the WSUS server, and then reject the IE push. If IE8 needs to be deployed in the future, enterprise users can enable it again to automatically obtain the "Update rollup ".
Before the release of IE8, Microsoft provided a tool that could block pushing IE8 through Windows Update. However, this tool cannot block IE8 upgrades pushed by WSUS and SMSSystems Management Server.
