MySQL connection error solved

After MySQL is installed for the first time, an error occurs when the connection is established through ODBC. The same error is reported when the connection string is configured through the program. The reason is that the password set during installation is not written in the MySQL system table, so the connection cannot be connected using the password in ODBC. solution:

On the MySQL console, enter

Mysql> Update mysql. User SET Password = old_password ('newpwd')-> where host = 'some _ host' and user = 'some _ user'; mysql> flush privileges;

Newpwd indicates the password, some_host indicates the MySQL server name, And some_user indicates the user name. The default value is root.

After you press enter, connect again.
