First download Tizen IVI Image, I tried a preview image http://download.tizen.org/previews/ivi/tizen-1.0_20120613.10/images/ in June
If you do not have an IVI device, Tizen IVI also supports image version ivi-min-pc/images running on the pc, decompress it through bunzip2, and then dd it to the USB flash drive.
Here I try to use some netbooks as the running device, start from the USB flash disk, and then use Alt + F3 to log on. by default, image provides a core OS system, including some newer technologies such as systemd. You can view the corresponding version information through rpm-qa | grep systemd.
If you want to see more Tizen applications, you can choose to continue to install the X or Wayland interface, https://wiki.tizen.org/wiki/ivi/ivi_setupwhich provides detailed steps.
I tried to install Wayland. To make the repo version consistent with the image version, I also modified/etc/zypp/repos. d. For example, modify http: // download.tizen.org/previews/ivi/latest/repos/to http: // download.tizen.org/previews/ivi/tizen-1.0_20120613.10/repos/
Run zypper install-t pattern ivi-wayland-pc and restart after the installation is complete. You can see many applications related to Tizen IVI.
If you are interested, you can further develop new applications on this image.
