VirtualBox is a software that allows you to run multiple systems on a physical host. It supports Windows, MacOSX, and Linux, and is maintained by Oracle. VirtualBox is a software that allows you to run multiple systems on a physical host. It supports Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux, and is maintained by Oracle.

We have written a lot of articles about VirtualBox here. You can make a quick search to view all the articles about VirtualBox.

Now, there is a story: VirtualBox has a function that allows users to quickly intercept Virtual Machine session screens. These can be shared with the host through the clipboard.

This is what we want to talk about here. When a function in a Ubuntu virtual machine is enabled, this function cannot work normally. This problem has been a pain point until we have discovered this solution by accident recently.

If we do not use the method we found, after you have captured the screen in the Ubuntu virtual machine, screenshots will be stored as Black files, such files will be useless.

I have been struggling to find a solution, but I have never had any good luck until just now.

To enable the two-way clipboard between the Ubuntu Virtual Machine and the host machine, click "set" on the Ubuntu Virtual Machine and find "Normal-> advanced tag ", select this function to enable it.

Now, theoretically, When you enable the Ubuntu virtual machine, press the "screenshot key" or press "Ctrl + screenshot key", the virtual machine should take a screenshot of the current desktop session.

Then you can use the clipboard function on the host to view those images.

But!If you enable the "3D acceleration" feature in the Ubuntu virtual machine at the same time, those images will become dark.

To solve this problem,You must disable the 3D acceleration function of the Ubuntu virtual machine!

You can disable the 3D acceleration function by clicking "set" on the Ubuntu virtual machine, and then finding the "System-> display-> graphics card" tab to disable 3D acceleration.

Now you must disable 3D acceleration in the Ubuntu virtual machine to make screenshots work normally. Open a virtual machine and try to capture a screen.

Hope this method can help you!

Hope you like it!
