GNU Gettext, gnugettext
I. Introduction
Currently, both commercial and free software are in English and are used as documents. Till now, the work done to enable other non-English language users to interact is still insufficient, which is not good for non-English language countries. However, with the release of the GNU gettext tool, this situation has greatly improved. Now almost all GNU programs are written under a specific framework. Under this framework, it is easy to translate program messages in English into other languages. If translation is available, you can set language options to interact with the program when the program is running. Gettext uses a very good method to solve this seemingly difficult problem. This method simplifies the work of programmers and translators, more importantly, it allows programmers and translators to work independently. This article describes how to use the GNUgettext tool in the system to support localization languages.
