In fact, I do not know this Varbinaryz field, check the next is the field into a binary.
So I built a table test, containing the field Test1,test1 field type varbinary, the field is encoded as utf-8.
Insert a piece of data through the SQL statement, test1 to Chinese.
PHP code query, PHP file encoding for Utf-8, browser encoding for Utf-8, Chinese normal display.
It is recommended to use the mysql_query ("SET NAMES UTF8") statement before the query to convert the code to see if it works


