Today, a new simulator was built in Genymotion to try out some of the new features of Android5.0, which is the Android L, but the problem is that the emulator cannot start. The new emulator is configured as follows:
。
You can see that this is Android 5.0,api 21 Android Simulator. The number of processors is 4 and the memory is 1024M. Nothing special about the others.
Click Run Emulator, a warning appears, and the simulator always stays on the start screen and does not open successfully:
。
Carefully analyzing the warnings, you can see that the number of processors has been forced to become 1, and that virtualization technology is disabled in the BIOS. The solution is to do some setup in the BIOS and restart the emulator.
Enter the BIOS, and each computer is different and researched on its own. :。
。
You can see that Intel (R) vitualization technology and vt-d are "off" states. So set these two properties to "on". Press F10 to save the exit. Power the boot again.
。
Then rerun the emulator and discover that it can be turned on successfully without warning. :
。
My personal understanding of this problem is that when your simulator has more than 1 CPUs, you need virtualization technology to simulate several other CPUs, and your PC must support virtualization technology that can be set up in the BIOS. This step is also used if you have developed a Windows phone or used a Windows Phone emulator. And as far as I know, only on the core i5 to use virtualization, i3 seemingly not. OK, now you can use Android L to give us new features.
