Opensystemarchitect-generating data models against database tables
OpenSystemArchitect.exe is an open source program instead of Powerdesign.
1 download files from http://www.codebydesign.com/SystemArchitect/downloads/.
2 Unzip to any file, do not need to install, directly click to execute OpenSystemArchitect.exe, the interface is as follows:
3 Select data source-> ODBC Administrator
4 Click Add, select SQL Server
5 Click Finish, then you will be asked to set up the connection database information, such as server name, user name, password, database name and so on.
6 Select the database you want to reverse.
7 Click Test Data Source and if the successfully word appears, the setting is successful.
8 Select File-> Preferences, the application Preferences appears, select the ODBC you just built in the data Source name option
9 Select File-> New and click Project
10 Right-click on the project you just created, select New, then physical Model (MS SQL)
Name is database.
11 Select database–> Reverse Engineer
If the connection is successful, you can see all the tables in the library in the Tables tab.
12 The final display results are as follows:
