What is "digital oilfield? If we regard "digital oilfield" as a complete and advanced computer software and hardware, we can't help but wonder how long can we maintain this advanced nature? For example, if we buy a personal PC in our family, there are many PC categories, nearly 20 thousand of which are four or five thousand, for our ordinary family, the main function of PC is office and entertainment. What is the difference between buying nearly 20 thousand of PCs and buying 5 and six thousand? How long can the 20 thousand PC maintain its advanced nature? If we only regard the "Digital Oil Field" as a pure accumulation of software and hardware, I think this will not last long.

In contrast, if we regard "digital oilfield" as a core competitiveness of our enterprise in the future, "digital oilfield" is an innovative capability for petroleum exploration and development information technology, or, more deeply, the innovation ability of petroleum exploration and development of information products, so I think that even if the "digital oilfield" lags behind, as long as we work hard, there is always a possibility to catch up with it, in the first case, you will not always be held by others and walk on the shadows of others.

Regardless of the above situation, we are faced with the question of how far we can go and how far we should go. The investment in oilfield digitalization is a "Big Day" number, and I don't know how big the "Big Day" is? I do not know whether the oilfield companies have evaluated the difference: How much is the difference between the investment of 5, six thousand and the investment of 20 thousand to buy a PC? How long can we maintain the advanced nature of such a large investment? The speed at which software is updated (there are many factors that require software updates, such as process changes, organization restructuring, and calculation method updates), sometimes no less than the speed at which hardware is updated, in this case, how can we choose? If you invest a lot or a little, you should plan well and prepare a large amount of resources.

I personally think that the construction of software and hardware systems for oilfield informatization should first consider domestic companies, so we can reach out to foreign countries only when we can't do it but have. If we can, we have to do it ourselves. However, this road is also facing the question of how far it can go. At the current computer level in China, we have invested a lot, and it is almost impossible to surpass the old beauty. Because our investment is limited and the technical accumulation of foreigners is not formed in a day or two, we should do our best. Can we learn from them? In short, achieving the greatest gains and progress with the least investment is an unavoidable and hard-to-find problem in our informatization construction.

How much information can an oilfield achieve by buying other people's stuff? I am not sure that some oilfield companies have granted information construction projects to foreign companies, but discard our own companies. There is a difference between software and hardware. A big difference is that software is like clothing. People who need to wear big sizes, hardware is like stools, no matter how fat or thin, anyone can sit down. Put forward the current overall requirements of the enterprise, and then hand it over to others. Based on my work experience over the past few years, I feel that even if this is done, there will also be situations where the size is wrong. What's more, if the detailed requirements of the company's internal and various professional ports are not found, it may not be the problem of wrong size, instead, we have done nothing wrong.

Do not miss a good development opportunity. Digital oilfield has been born for several years and we have made great progress. However, when talking about digital oil fields, it is still common for some people, especially those working at the grass-roots level and on the front lines of scientific research and production. Why? First, we do not have enough publicity. The frontline comrades did not really understand the meaning of digital oil fields. They feel that the goal of Digital Oil Fields is far from enough. This is not what people don't understand, but because we didn't make it clear. As a result, some comrades are disgusted and think that all the people engaged in digital oil fields are scammers. To avoid this situation as much as possible, we must patiently publicize and explain it. We need to do more leadership work. Second, we do have a lot of research and less hands-on work. Of course, there are a lot of problems, not just what you want to do. There is another opportunity. However, in any case, the fundamental purpose of digital oilfield construction is to serve the main business and improve the core competitiveness. Therefore, to build a digital oilfield, We must step by step closely focus on the exploration and development business of the oilfield.
I personally think that the research on digital oil fields should be advanced, but the implementation should be secure, so it is not difficult to keep a long distance. In addition, we must fully recognize the difficulties and obstacles of digital oilfield construction, which must be both forward-looking and down-to-earth. Looking at domestic companies that are doing well and can enter the international market, such as Huawei and Haier Lenovo, their common feature is that they have a very strong innovation capability. They develop their own products and dare to call similar products from any foreign manufacturer. More importantly, they can always launch their own new products at the right time, strive to maintain a dominant position in the competition.

I always believe that informatization serves the business. The sign of maturity in the informatization stage is that core business processing is completed through informatization, that is, the informatization of business processing and management is realized, informatization has completely penetrated into the main fields of production management. There are differences between advanced and inadvanced information means. However, whether a business-oriented system is advanced cannot be determined based on the advanced implementation means. Instead, it depends on whether the system can penetrate into the business, to what extent can we completely replace the original business model.

Therefore, to build a large-scale information system, an important basic task is to integrate and standardize existing business models so that they can adapt to the requirements of information management. It is typical for some oil fields to build ERP systems. First, they integrate related businesses so that they can fully meet the requirements of ERP and then implement the ERP system. This is more likely to succeed. Therefore, to build a "digital oilfield", we should first "digitize" our own oilfield, raw reserves, recoverable reserves, residual distribution, well position deployment, single well output control, and arrangement of production of each well according to market changes to maximize the output and sell the highest amount of money, it is the purpose of the informatization of oil companies. Otherwise, "Digital Oil Fields" will become "active. How is it going to "digitize? Our current question is how to construct a "digital oilfield" and what kind of "digital oilfield", rather than what "digital oilfield" can bring to us?

At present, our oil companies still have some money. Why don't we use it to improve our own information technology? We use the money on large foreign companies and let them go back and "Beat" us. Is it a bit ridiculous (of course, more helpless )? Why do we turn a blind eye to so many companies in China that need funds to grow their strength, strive for self-improvement, and connect with their own lips? Is it a bit sad? The Exploitation Capacity of the East region is declining year by year, and the national oil center is gradually shifting to the west. The eastern region accounts for 30% of the national output, and the western region accounts for 70%. When we start to start a new business, how can we establish a foothold when we don't have much money to buy expensive foreign software and hardware equipment? "Digital oilfield" is not "Flower", "digital oilfield" is a real skill, and "digital oilfield" is an operation that uses our minds and hands to implant information technology into the huge body of an enterprise.
