How to install OpenstackEssex in Ubuntu12.04

This is the official Ubuntu 12.04 version, which is installed on a physical server. The machine has two hard disks.

Two NICs

Two hard disks, and the other one for volume.

1: Database Planning

Databases are required for nova, keystone, and glance. For keystone and glance, sqlite is used by default. All documents will be changed to mysql as the database.

Therefore, we need to create three databases.

Database Administrator Password
Nova password
Keystone password
Glance password

2: keystone token

Default keystone token: ADMIN

For convenience, we set the keystone token to: 1234567890

Admin_token = 1234567890

 

3: tenant and administrator

We need to create an admin tenant, which has an admin administrator and the administrator password is admin.

This is actually the user name and password for web login.

Admin_tenant_name = admin
Admin_user = admin
Admin_password = admin

4. Network Planning

Eth0: Public IP: 172.16.10.6

Eth1: no IP address is required

Floating IP: 172.16.10.32/27 (Public IP address of the VM)

Fix IP: 10.10.10.32/27 (Virtual Machine's fixed IP)
