Configure the DHCPD service for RedHat 6.0 Enterprise Edition
First, mount/dev/cdrom/mnt/
Then install dhcp: cd/mnt/Packages
Rpm-ivh dhcp-4.1.1-19.P1.el6.x86_64.rpm
After the installation is complete, a document will be generated to introduce the configuration method of dhcpd. conf, which can be copied to/etc/dhcpd/and needs to be renamed:
Cp/usr/share/doc/dhcp-4.1.1/dhcpd. conf. sample/etc/dhcp/dhcpd. conf
Alternatively, you can directly edit the file, as shown in the following figure:
Ddns-update-style interim; the update method must be
Subnet 192.168.0.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 {
Option routers 192.168.0.100; set the default Network Management
Option subnet-mask limit 255.0; set the subnet mask
Default-lease-time 21600; set the default lease time
Max-lease-time 43200; set the maximum lease time
Range 192.168.0.128 192.168.0.254; network segment announcement
}
Host Name of the host whose localhost retains the address
{
Hardware ethernet 00: 00: 00: 00: 00; // specify the MAC address of the client.
Fixed-address 192.168.0.111; // assign a fixed IP address to the specified MAC address.
}
Save and exit after configuration. Then start the server at/etc/init. d/dhcpd start. If the server can be started, no problem occurs. If an error is prompted, check where the error is written.
This is a simple configuration! The following is the correct startup display:
[Root @ localhost dhcp] # service dhcpd restart
Disable dhcpd: [OK]
Starting dhcpd: [OK]
[Root @ localhost dhcp] #
When applying for an address, you can open the information terminal on the local machine to view the effect:
