How Ubuntu modifies the default directory data directory for MySQL

1. Stop MySQL Service
   * Sudo/etc/init.d/mysql stop
2. Copy the original directory
   * cp-r/var/lib/mysql/home/yourname/somewhere

3. Modify Permissions
   * sudo chmod mysql:root/home/yourname/somewhere/mysql
   * sudo chmod 777/home/yourname/somewhare/mysql

4. Editing a configuration file/etc/mysql/my.cnf
   * Change DataDir to/home/yourname/somewhere/mysql

5. Edit Ubuntu-specific permissions control AppArmor configuration file
   * Vi/etc/apparmor.d/usr.sbin/mysqld
   * Modify both the behavior/var/lib/mysql/for your directory/home/yourname/sowewhere/
   * Be careful not to forget the trailing slash, or it will appear when show databases error

6. Reload Configuration
   * /etc/init.d/apparmor Reload
   * /etc/init.d/mysql start

It can't be restarted.

Verification: Mysql-u Root-p
Show databases
