Today, I am bored, so I want to listen to it. In Ubuntu, The Rhythmbox interface that comes with the system is too big and uncomfortable. So I want to find an MP3 player that I want to listen, visit the Forum and find Audacious! I heard it was good, so I just installed it for fun... Below we will introduce the information, installation methods, and troubleshooting methods I have found!
Audacious is a music player software derived from beep-media-player 0.9.7.1. Because BMP has stopped development and there are many problems, Audacious's Development Team developed the software by themselves. Audacious is compatible with Winamp 2.x or "Classic", and XMMS skin. Visit its site http://audacious-media-player.org here/
The full name of xmms is X Multimedia System. This classic player may be a player that every linux user has more or less access to. However, because GTK1 is used, it does not support non-English environments, so after 1.2.10, xmms has not been updated, but it does not mean that the development has stopped. Instead, it is transplanted to GTK2, which provides better support for the language environment, so we have bmp (full name beep media player ). After the bmp development team turned its attention to the development of bmp, bmp changed its name to audacious. Compared with bmp, audacious comes with more decoders. By default, it can be installed in mp3, aac, and wma formats without looking for plug-ins.
Installation:
Sudo apt-get install audacious
Install the audacious Decoder (this seems to have been installed, if you have installed Rhythmbox or video decoder)
Sudo apt-get install audacious-plugins-extra-console
Garbled Problem
You can solve Chinese garbled characters by setting the settings as follows:
On the player page, right-click "Preferences"> "playlist"> "metadata:
Select: Loading
Use automatic encoding detector: chinese
Alternate character encoding: GBK
Delete the playlist, and then add a new song. If you do not want to delete it, you can also use www.linuxidc.com to play every song you have played or double-click it to make it normal!
Small volume by default
For some reason, the default volume is relatively small after the software is installed. Let's set it as follows:
Preference-Replay Gain-Default gain
The default value here is-9.00. Change it back to 0.00, which is the same as the system volume. If you still want to whisper, you can set it to a positive number!
There is another problem I don't know how to solve, that is, switching the playlist. If there are multiple playlists, there is no direct selection in the interface. It doesn't feel human-friendly, or maybe it's because I didn't set them up, which prawn knows? My solution is to switch with the shortcut key "SHIFT + P!
In addition, you can set more settings in the preferences of the playlist. If you are interested, you can play them.
