Install Atom through PPA in Ubuntu

The previous article on compiling and installing Atom under Ubuntu (see the http://www.linuxidc.com/Linux/2014-05/101417.htm) found today webupd8 released the Atom PPA. Currently, AtomPPA can only be installed and used in 64-bit versions of Ubuntu14.04 and 13.10or12.04. This is very important. If you meet the requirements, you can run the following command:

Atom PPAOnly supports 64-bit Ubuntu 14.04, 13.10 or 12.04It is very important to install and use the following command:

Sudo add-apt-repository ppa: webupd8team/atom

Sudo apt-get update

Sudo apt-get install atom

After the installation, if an error occurs after the icon is opened, you can use the following command to enable Atom:

/Opt/atom

For Ubuntu 13.10 users: the current version of Atom does not support global menus.
