The hard disk cannot be installed if it is directly attached to the CENTOS5 installation disk. What can I do? There is no RHEL5 cd at hand, so I checked it online and finally found the SATA driver.
Put the driver into a USB flash drive, insert it to the server, start it with a CENTOS5 disc, enter linux dd when selecting the installation mode, and then it will automatically load the USB flash drive, then, ask which disk contains the driver, select sda, that is, your USB flash drive, and then select the driver. After loading, it will continue to ask you to load the driver, in this case, select NO, and then the installer will start to install the system normally as usual.
