You can. If no text is displayed on the page after you enter Chinese characters, click +/-1 to change the page.

You cannot enter Chinese characters in the X-window interface:
(1) first: # yum erase scim * uninstalls scim
(2) then: it takes some time to download and encapsulate yum install scim-lang-chinese.
(3) Enter X-Window to use the Chinese input method.

The default scora 9 does not automatically install the scim font. That is to say, it is impossible to enter Chinese Characters in gnome unless you install it yourself.

Installation Method:
Yum install scim
Yum install scim-pinyin
