Install FedoraCore9 through LAN FTP

After careful consideration, I decided to find a better method for installing Fedora Core 9.

The computer is configured with an E8400 CPU, 1 GB memory, and ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro 512M graphics card. Therefore, the image file of the 64-bit Fedora Core System is downloaded, that is, "Fedora-9-x86_64-DVD.iso" and Fedora Core 9 64-bit boot installation disc image file "Fedora-9-x86_64-netinst.iso", and burn the "Fedora-9-x86_64-netinst.iso" file into a CD, it is used to start the installation program of the 64-bit Fedora Core 9 system.

First, install the virtual optical drive and copy the image file of the DVD Disc under the FTP home directory on the computer, for example, "E: \ Inetpub \ ftproot \ fedora \ DVD \", the connection accessed through FTP is: ftp: // ip/fedora/DVD /. Then, set the computer to be installed to start from the disc, and put the disc into the drive. During installation, select "URL" for installation, and set the IP address, subnet mask, and gateway, in the next step, enter "URL": ftp: // ip/fedora/DVD/. Then, you can install it like using a CD installation file.

During the installation of Fedora Core 9, the following points are summarized: if a computer installed with Windows XP is used as an FTP server, the server will often crash, the following error occurs: "Generic Host Process for Win32 Services must be disabled." And no response is returned when the computer is restarted. You can only press the power button of the computer to directly shut down the computer and then start the system, after Fedora Core 9 is started, the 64-bit system installer can continue to install. During the installation process, at least three to five such errors may occur. However, if you use a computer with the Fedora Core 9 system installed as an FTP server, there will be no errors. This may be the difference in system stability. However, when vsftpd is used as the FTP server, it will distinguish uppercase and lowercase letters. For example, the DVD and dvd are different, and there is no difference when the Windows system is used as the server.

Start the installation program of the 64-bit Fedora Core 9 system or use Grub for DOS or Grub For Windows.
