Statement

The device used for testing is ASUS Nexus 7, codenamed grouper, and the Factory Image is Android 4.2.2 (JDQ39 ).
After the installation is complete, the system on Nexus 7 is Ubuntu 13.10 (saucy) Touch.
Installation environment
The PC-side system is Ubuntu 13.04.
The Nexus 7 system is Android 4.22

Images and Installation Tools
Download the following five files from the official Ubuntu image site:
Saucy-preinstalled-boot-armhf + grouper. img
Saucy-preinstalled-recovery-armel + grouper. img
Saucy-preinstalled-system-armel + grouper. img
Saucy-preinstalled-touch-armelw.grouper.zip
Saucy-preinstalled-touch-armhf.zip
Install adb & fastboot (Ctrl + Alt + T to call up Terminal)
Sudo add-apt-repository ppa: phablet-team/tools
Sudo apt-get update
Sudo apt-get install phablet-tools android-tools-adb android-tools-fastboot
Nexus Configuration
Enter developer Mode
Settings-> About tablet-> click Build number 7 times
USB debugging
Settings-> Developer options-> USB debugging
Transfer files
Upload the two. ZIP files that have just been downloaded to the simulated sdcard of Nexus.
Adb push saucy-preinstalled-touch-armelw.grouper.zip/sdcard/1.zip
Adb push saucy-preinstalled-touch-armhf.zip/sdcard/2.zip
Since the file size is about MB, it takes some time to transmit it.
Device unlock
1. Shutdown
2. Press and hold the volume reduction key and power key until fastboot mode is enabled.
3. Connect to the PC
4. the device is identified by entering sudo fastboot devices on the PC end.
5. Enter sudo fastboot oem unlock on the PC end
The last line on the Nexus screen contains UNLOCKED, indicating that the unlock is successful.
Install
Burn 3. imgfiles (in fastboot Mode)
Sudo fastboot flash recovery suacy-preinstalled-recovery-armel + grouper. img
Sudo fastboot flash boot saucy-preinstalled-boot-armhf + grouper. img
Sudo fastboor falsh system saucy-preinstalled-system-armel + grouper. img
Install 2. ZIP files (in recovery mode)
(In fastboot mode, select recovery mode based on the volume plus or minus, and confirm by power supply)
1. Select Install from sdcard-> 0-> 1.zip
2. Wait until step 2 is completed.
2. In recovery mode, select Install from sdcard> 0> 2.zip.
4. Wait until step 1 is installed and restart automatically
Complete
After the Nexus is automatically restarted, it enters the newly installed Ubuntu system.
