On Monday, Canonical began inviting Ubuntu community members to participate in the Ubuntu One test. Its source code will soon be issued in accordance with the open source authorization protocol. Ubuntu One will provide 2 GB of free storage space. In addition, users can get 10 Gb space service at $10 per month. Engineer Elliot Murphy said the Ubuntu One storage space charging plan is still unconfirmed, this is only an interim policy.
The personal folder stored on Ubuntu One can be shared with other users. You only need to specify the Email address of the user to be shared, and the user will be invited to emails, after the file is verified, it will automatically appear in its "Shared With Me" folder. Murphy says Canonical has no plans to develop Windows and Mac OS X local Ubuntu One clients.
