1. Add a thread group
After opening the JMeter main window, select "Test Plan" in the tree structure on the left, then right-select Add, select "Threads (Users)" and select "Thread Group".
Diagram, there are presentations in the thread group concept
2. Add an HTTP sample (the body of the test script)
Select the thread group, right-click to add an HTTP sample, and add the appropriate parameters.
3. Add the result tree (used to debug the script, the performance test error troubleshooting errors, etc., the default is not added, so you need to add manually)
Select the thread group, right-click Add Listener, and select View result tree. In this way, each time the request and the response content of HTTP requests are recorded, it is convenient for us to debug the script.
When script debugging passes, we need to select the "Show log error only" setting of the view result so that the error will be recorded so that it is easy to get errors and troubleshoot.
4. Add aggregation report (used to record execution results of HTTP sample executed, etc., need to be added manually)
Select the thread group, right-click Add Listener, and select Aggregate report.
The aggregation report can record the number of successful transactions, the average response time (max, Min, 90%), error rate, throughput, and the test data we care about is basically here.
5. Perform this simple test
Set up a test scenario, such as changing the number of threads to 10, and changing the number of cycles to 5 times.
Select the menu "Run"-〉 "Start" or click the green triangle to start the test.
