Use regular expressions to verify the length of the input string, which is 2 bytes in Chinese and one byte for the English and the numeric characters.
Call the Getstrlenght function, the first argument passes in the string, the second argument passes through the length of the validation, and returns False if it returns true within the range of the validation length.
function Getstrlenght (message,maxlenght) { var strlenght = 0;//initial definition length is 0 var txtval = $.trim (message); for (var i = 0; i < txtval.length; i++) { if (IsCN (Txtval.charat (i) = = True) { strlenght = strlenght + 2;//Chinese is 2 characters } else { strlenght = strlenght + 1;//English one character } } return strlenght > maxlenght? false:true; } function IsCN (str) {//judgment is not Chinese var regexch =/[u00-uff]/; Return!REGEXCH. Test (str); }
Here is the calling method of my encapsulation, which you can take to your own encapsulation.
var len = Utils.limittext (chatmessage,2000); if (len = = False) { utils.msg ("the input exceeds the length limit! ", NULL,"); return false; }
