The default maximum number of temporary TCP ports is 5000 for the products included in the section. Add a new parameter to these products. To increase the upper limit of the temporary port, follow these steps:
- Start Registry Editor. ( start-run-regedit)
- Locate the following subkey in the registry, and then click Parameters : hkey_local_machine\system\currentcontrolset\services\tcpip\parameters
- Click New on the Edit menu, and then add the following registry key: Value name: maxuserport
Value type: DWORD
Value data: 65534 ( note is decimal)
Valid range: 5000-65534 (decimal)
Default value: 0x1388 (50,000)
Description: This parameter uses the maximum number of ports used by the control program to request any available user ports from the system. Typically, a temporary (short) port is assigned between the value of 1024 and the contained 5000.
- Quit Registry Editor and restart the computer.
