Linux Kernel. Do you need to install special patches for porting to ARM9. -- Linux general technology-Linux programming and kernel information. The following is a detailed description. I am a newbie who just got in touch with embedded systems. I want to compile a CPU Of The arm9-system, the Linux 2.6 kernel on the S3C2410.
I see from the book that if it is a 2.4 kernel, there is a dedicated patch-2.4.21-rmk1.gz patch package. Now I want to compile a Linux 2.6.20 Kernel on S3C2410, but I didn't mention the 2.6 kernel ARM patch package in this document. So I am confused, is it because the 2.6 kernel directly supports ARM9? No patch is required. If yes, what version of patch is required? Where can I download?
Thank you !!!
