Method 1:

Ubuntu uses upstart to replace init in 6.10. The main scripts are under/etc/event. d. By default, the inittab file is not in/etc.

Create an inittab under/ect/, write id: 3: initdefault:, then enter/etc/rc3.d, move S13kdm to another directory for backup, restart the system, and enter the character interface as expected.

Method 2:

First install sysv-rc-conf.

Sudo apt-get install sysv-rc-conf

Run sysv-rc-conf

Sudo sysv-rc-conf

After running the program, find the following two groups of options.

Note! After you restart ubuntu and enter the character interface, you want to return to the graphic environment instead of using the startx command, but telinit 3.
