In a Mac system, the official version of Android Studio installed is 1.01
If you click Check update directly in the interface, the following prompt will appear
Connection failed. Please check your network connection and try again
Some of the methods of web-transfer are too cumbersome, there is a temporary alternative to the solution as follows
1. Finder, Shift+command+g, enter the following folder
/applications/android studio.app/contents/bin/studio.vmoptions
2. Open this file with a text editor or vim
3. Add the following on the last line:
-djava.net.preferipv4stack=true
-didea.updates.url=http://dl.google.com/android/studio/patches/updates.xml
-didea.patches.url=http://dl.google.com/android/studio/patches/
4. Save and exit
5. Open Android Studio, prompt for a new version, click Upgrade to 1.02
6. During the upgrade process, the first step of the file is modified, whether the need to replace. You can click Replace. The file will be restored
7. After all the upgrades are complete, you can repeat 1-4 steps for the next upgrade.
