Meizu MX3 for Ubuntu? At least until 2015

Ubuntu fans are looking forward to seeing their Ubuntu smartphone this year, but it seems they have to wait patiently for the last year. MarkShuttleworth previously reported that at least one major carrier or hardware manufacturer will release a Ubuntu-based smartphone. Canonical is negotiating with interested partners. Earlier rumors about meizu's launch of the Ubuntu MX3 version were also widely spread on the Internet. But the director of UbuntuCommunity seems to have dispelled Mark's enthusiasm, saying

However, the Ubuntu Community owner seems to have dispelled Mark's enthusiasm, indicating that such a product may not be available until 2015.

Jono Bacon, head of Ubuntu Community, said: "In the long run, we hope to see major OEMs or carriers launch Ubuntu devices. However, this is a long journey and many factors need to be taken into consideration. The Ubuntu device was launched in 2015, which is quite good and surprising to me. If the main OEM or operator can launch such a device, then many independent software developers will also join ."
