Real-time traffic of NICs in Linux/Unix Monitoring Systems

Iftop is a good choice. She can come to the source and target and port in detail.

Ifstat reports interface status, which is a network traffic monitoring program. Allows you to view the outbound and inbound bytes of the NIC.

Parameters:

-L monitoring Loop Network Interface (lo ). By default, ifstat monitors all non-loop network interfaces of the activity.

-A monitors the status information of all network interfaces that can be detected.

-Z: hidden traffic is non-existent interfaces, for example, interfaces that are started but not used

-I indicates the interface to be monitored, followed by the Network Interface Name

-S equals to adding the-d snmp: [comm @] [#] host [/nn] parameter, and querying a remote host through SNMP

-H: displays brief help information.

-N: Disable the display of periodic header information (that is, when the-n parameter is not added to run ifstat, the name of the network interface will appear at the top. When a screen cannot be displayed, the interface name is displayed again, prompting you which network interface the traffic information is displayed. Add the-n parameter to disable the periodic display interface name, only once)

-T add a timestamp at the beginning of each line (which can tell us the specific time)

-T reports the total bandwidth of all monitoring interfaces (the last column has a total, showing the in traffic of all interfaces and the out traffic of all interfaces, simply add in traffic of all interfaces and out traffic)

-W uses the specified column width instead of automatically enlarging the column width to adapt to the length of the Interface Name.

-W if the content is wider than the width of the terminal window, wrap the line automatically.

-S: the status of the same row is updated (do not scroll, do not wrap) Note: if you do not like screen scrolling, this item is very convenient, similar to the bmon Display Method

-B uses kbits/s to display the bandwidth instead of kbytes/s (you should know the difference between bit and byte)

-Q quiet mode. The warning message is not displayed.

-V: display version information

-D specifies a driver to collect status information.
