Microsoft SQL server Management Studio Express (SSMSE) is a free and easy-to-use graphic Management tool for managing SQL Server 2005 Express Edition and SQL Server 2005 Express Edition with advanced services. SSMSE can also manage SQL Server database engine instances created in any version of SQL Server 2005. Note: SSMSE cannot manage SQL Server Analysis Services, Integration Services, Notification Services, Reporting Services, SQL Server proxy, or SQL Server 2005 Mobile Edition.
Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio is a new integrated environment provided by Microsoft SQL Server 2005. It is used to access, configure, control, manage, and develop all SQL Server components. SQL Server Management Studio combines a diverse set of graphic tools with a variety of fully functional script editors to provide technical-level developers and administrators with access to SQL Server. SQL Server Management Studio integrates enterprise Manager, query analyzer, and Analysis Manager functions in earlier versions of SQL Server into a single environment. In addition, SQL Server Management Studio can work with all SQL Server components, such as Reporting Services, Integration Services, SQL Server 2005 Compact Edition, and Notification Services. Developers can get familiar experiences, while Database administrators can get a single utility with complete functions, including easy-to-use graphical tools and rich script writing functions!
Follow these steps to download the file: SQLServer2005_SSMSEE.msi, and double-click to install it.
Click "Next.
Select "I agree to the terms of the license agreement" and click "Next.
You can enter a name in the text box, but not in the company text box.
Click "Next.
By default, click "Next".>
Click "Next.
Click "finish.
In the Start Menu, find "Microsoft SQL Server 2005" --> "SQL Server Management Studio Express" and click

In the "server name" drop-down box, use "\" as the line,
The left side is the local server name, that is, the computer name,
The right side is the name of the instance you just created.
