Connect MyEclipse to the Mysql database

 

Preparations: MyEclipse uses mysql 2013 and mysql Ver 14.14 Distrib 5.6.28.

 

1. Download the jar package (jdbc driver)

I downloaded: mysql-connector-java-5.1.7-bin.jar

 

 

2. open MyEclipse ----> select window ----> select open perspecctive ----> myeclipse Database Explorer to go to the following interface.

There is a downward triangle on the right of the DB Browser work interval, such as the direction pointed by the Red Arrow. Click the drop-down box.

 

Go to New Database connection Driver ---->

Driver template ----> select mysql connector/J

Driver name ----> just get one (such as user)

Connection URL ----> jdbc: mysql: // localhost: 3306/fuck (note that mysql accesses the database on the local machine, therefore, the localhost port 3306 is set, and the "fuck" is the name of the database I created in the mysql database. If you have not created a database yet, create a database before proceeding to the next step. Otherwise, an error occurs .)

 

 

Continue the above:

Username ----> root (can be retrieved at will, as long as you can remember)

Password ----> ************** (not to mention)

Add JARS ----> select the path to download and save the JAR file in step 1 ----> Test Driver ----> If the file is successfully downloaded, the following interface appears ----> OK ----> finish

 

 

 

Return to the DB Browser page, and a directory named "Driver name" is displayed.

 

Right-click user and click open connection to view the list of all mysql databases.
