Environment: mysql5.5.20 version under Win7
1, in the DOS command line CD to the MySQL bin directory
Start: Mysqld.exe--console
Then the server starts and the information is printed as follows:

Version: ' 5.5.20-log ' socket: ' port:3306 mysql Community Server (GPL) then stop here, the surface MySQL service has started
At this point, you can connect to the MySQL server via the client.
2, if you forget the above MySQL service has been started, another DOS window: net start MySQL (means to start the MySQL service), this time will be an error:
Error 1: System error 5 occurred. Access denied.
Error 2: The service is starting or stopping, please wait a moment and try again.
3, if you forget the above MySQL service has been started, win+r and then enter in the run: Service.msc Open the service window
See MySQL service MySQL at this point is not started, then you will manually start it, and then the error:
Error: Error 1053: The service did not respond to the startup or control request in a timely manner (when the report of this error indicates that your service has been up, but you have forgotten)
