Environment: MySQL 5.5.20 in win7
1. cd to the bin directory of mysql in the dos command line
Start: mysqld.exe -- console
Then the server is started, and the print information is as follows:

130104 17:07:51 [Note] mysqld.exe: ready for connections.
Version: '5. 5.20-log' socket: ''port: 3306 MySQL Community Server (GPL). Then, the mysql service is started successfully.
Now you can connect to the mysql server through the client.
2. If you forget that the mysql service has been started, start a dos window: net start mysql (indicating to start the mysql service), and an error will be reported:
Error 1: System Error 5. Access denied.
Error 2: the service is starting or stopping. Please try again later.
3. If you forget that the mysql service has been started, win + r and enter service. msc in the running state to open the service window.
The mysql service is not started at this time. Then you can start it manually and then report an error:
Error: Error 1053: the service did not respond to the start or control request in time (when this error is reported, it indicates that your service is up, but you forgot it)
