MySQL counts the number of different conditions in the same table

Want to count both the number of boys and the number of failed.
SELECT COUNT (1) as Boynum from t_student WHERE sex= ' male ';

SELECT COUNT (1) as Poornum from T_student WHERE score< ' 60 ';

Failed attempts:
SELECT count (sex= ' man ') as Boynum, COUNT (score< ') as Poornum from T_student;

Workaround:
MySQL provides if functions that can be used in queries.
SELECT
SUM (
IF ((sex= ' Male '), 1,0)
) ' Boynum ',
SUM (
IF ((score< ' 60 '), 1,0)
) ' Poornum '
From T_student;
