MySQL has three ways of changing the root password:
1.mysqladmin-uroot-p Password "12"
This will change the root password to 12, and note that the new password is enclosed in double quotes.
2.root log in to MySQL server and update the user table in MySQL database with UPDATE statement
Update Mysql.user Set Password=password ("New_password") where user= ' root ' and host= ' localhost '
Flush privileges Refresh the LOAD statement after execution is complete
3.set Password=password ("New_password");(ordinary users can only use this method to modify the password, because the permissions are not enough)
What to do if the root password is forgotten or lost:
Steps:
1. Start the MySQL service using--skip-grant--tables:
Mysqld_safe--skip-grant-tables
2. Log in to the root user and set a new password
Update Mysql.user Set Password=password ("New_password") where user= ' root ' and host= ' localhost '
Flush Privileges
