A Negios server was set up in the company today. After adding the monitored server, several monitored services are OK, but the host display is down.
Environment Description:
Nagios Server:
Redhat 6.3 x64 Minimized installation
Turn off SELinux and iptables
Nagios-3.4.1.tar.gz
Nagios-plugins-2.0.3.tar.gz
Nrpe-2.15.tar.gz
Follow the previous manual step-by-step procedure. Used to be OK, do not know why this error.

Baidu Search a large circle, see the solution is not the same as mine. I guess it's because the plugins I use and the version of Nrpe are all up to date.
Later search English documents, found a post has a solution. Follow the steps. Sure enough, OK.
Requires the following components to be installed on the server:
[Nagios-server]# Rpm-qa | grep net-snmpnet-snmp-libs-5.1.2-11.el4_6.11.2net-snmp-5.1.2-11.el4_6.11.2net-snmp-utils-5.1.2-11.el4.10
After installing the above components, reinstall the Nagios-plugin plugin.
[Email protected]]# tar xvf nagios-plugins-1.4.11.tar.gz[[email protected]]# CD Nagios-plugins-1.4.11[[email protected]]#./configure--with-nagios-user=nagios--with-nagios-group=nagios[[email protected]]# make[[email protected]]# make Install
Finally restart the Nagios service
[[email protected]] #service nagios restart
Wait 2 minutes or so and see the server state is up.
If you are the same as me, try it quickly.
