NETSHARE is used to manage shared resources so that network users can use resources on a server. When you use this command without the option, it lists all resources that are being shared on the computer. For each resource, Windows reports its device name or path name, along with descriptive comments related to it. Its command syntax is as follows: NETSHAREsha

Net share is used to manage shared resources so that network users can use resources on a server. When this option is not includedCommandIt lists all resources that are being shared on the computer. For each resource, Windows reports its device name or path name, along with descriptive comments related to it.

Its command syntax is as follows:

Net share sharename = drive: path [/USERS: number/UNLIMITED] [/REMARK: "tExT "] [/CACHE: manual automatic no] sharename [/USERS: number/UNLIMITED] [/REMARK:" text "] [/CACHE: manual Documents Programs None] {sharename devicename drive: path}/DELETE

Sharename refers to the Network Name of the shared resource. Enter "net share" and "SHARE Name". Only information about the SHARE is displayed.

Drive: path specifies the absolute path of the directory to be shared.

/USERS: number indicates the maximum number of USERS who can access Shared resources at the same time.

/UNLIMITED specifies the UNLIMITED number of resources that a user can access simultaneously.

/REMARK: "text" adds a descriptive comment about the resource. The text should be enclosed in quotation marks.

Devicename refers to one or more printers shared by the shared name (LPT1: To LPT9 :).

/DELETE: Terminate resource sharing.

/CACHE: Enable offline customer CACHE and Automatic re-integration of Automatic Automation

/CACHE: Manual enables offline customer CACHE and Manual re-integration

/CACHE: No tells the customer that the offline CACHE is inappropriate.

When you create a share on the server, these shares are saved. When the Server service is stopped, all shares are disconnected, but the Server will be automatically reconnected the next time you start the Server service or restart the computer. When you browse a local computer from a remote computer, the shared resource name ending with "$" is not displayed.

To use the shared name DataShare to share the C: Data Directory of the computer, add the following notes:

Net share DataShare = c: Data/remark: "For department 123 ."

To stop the DataShare folder sharing created in the preceding example:

Net share DataShare/delete
