Sogou and the Ubuntu Kylin team started the cooperation and development of the "sogou Input Method Linux community edition" in December 2013. After more than 10 senior engineers, product managers, and senior testers, they had worked together for five months, version 1.0 was officially released on time. This version is developed based on the open-source little penguin Input Method Framework, open-source Qimpanel panel, and sogou Input Method engine. It is provided to all open-source Linux distributions and individual users for free.
