Linux has not been used for a long time, but with the approaching release date of Ubuntu11.04 and the increasing news of the new version of Ubuntu within one day after the release, I am interested in Ubuntu again. So I downloaded the iso 11.04 file immediately after a holiday last night (because of today's holiday). After several hours, I finally upgraded my laptop's Ubuntu10.10 to 11.04. Fedora 15 Vs Ubuntu 11.04
Ubuntu 11.04 combines the previous Ubuntu Netbook Edtion and Desktop Edtion, and uses the Unity user interface used in the previous Netbook. Fedora 15 still uses the Gnome 3 user interface. Since the Unity interface was originally developed for small screen devices such as netbooks, some comments believe that Canonical may enter the touch screen devices/tablet market after Unity is perfected. I have never used Gnome 3 and have a short experience with Untity. I still do not know that the Fedora 15 for PC is superior to others in terms of ease of use. Since the release date of Fedora is later than Ubuntu, friends who like Gnome 3 user interface still need to wait.
Original or customized Chinese Version
In addition to the official version, Canonical also launched a Chinese customized version for the Chinese market (only 32-bit version, No 64-bit version ). It is reported that the Chinese customized version is integrated with the Chinese Language Pack and set it as the default version on the basis of the original version. There is no big difference between the other versions.
If you have not upgraded to version 11.04, you can download the original version or the Chinese custom version based on your preferences. However, if you have installed the original version, you can still execute the following command to install the customized Chinese version.
Sudo apt-get install ubuntu-chinese-desktop
I installed the original English language. After executing the above command, I did download some Chinese language packs and installed ibus-pinyin and ibus-sunpinyin for Chinese users, it seems that I have downloaded several other software packages, but I forgot
