Here's an example of the Phoenixbios Setup utility in the VMware Workstation 7.1 virtual machine, which describes how this style of Setup tool is used.
1.1.1 Operating Instructions

Example 2.7 Shielding logo
Some motherboards and computers will display the manufacturer's logo at startup, shielding the post display information so that the user cannot identify the hardware model with the post display information.
Workaround: Set boot-time Diagnostic screen (display diagnostic screens at startup) to "Enabled", and after saving exit, you can see the diagnostic screen shown in 1.2, including the BIOS version and post process.

1. Set password protection
Select "Set Supervisor Password", press "enter" key, enter two times password, save exit, re-enter the settings, need to enter the password to enter, 1.4 is shown.

2. Boot requirements Password
Set "Password on Boot" to "Enabled".
1.2.4 Boot Settings
Select the "Boot" menu to adjust the boot order of various bootable devices by using the UP and DOWN ARROW keys to select the device, using the "+" or "-" keys to move the device. When the computer starts, the BIOS checks each device from top to bottom, in the order set here, and if a bootable record is detected, transfers control of the computer to the boot record on that device, as shown in 1.5.
