This chapter is about setting up a test environment for s3c6410 Development Board. 1. Install Serial debugging tool: Minicom, 1th step: Use Insmod | The grep usbserial command detects whether the current system supports USB to serial port, 2nd step: Install minicom using the Apt-get install minicom command, step 3rd: Configure Minicom–s with minicom command ; 4th step: Test minicom with the minicom command 2. Burn Write Android system: (1) Use Eboot erase Nandflash method: 1th Step: Prepare work, use serial line or USB to serial cable to connect Development Board and PC, and start minicom; 2nd step: Enter eboot State; 3rd step: Erase Nandflash. (2) Burning Android steps: 1th step: Prepare to work, prepare a 2GB or 4GB SD card, require FAT32 partition format, insert card reader and connect PC, 2nd step: Write Mmc.bin and zimage-sd.bin to SD card; 3rd Step: Prepare for the pre-written Android, step 4th: Start burning Android from SD card, 5th step: Calibrate the screen. 3. Configure the Wired network.
In this chapter I learned to develop Linux drivers on a PC and then recompile the Linux drivers into arm architectures and test them on the Development Board.
