Corbin Davenport, a 16-year-old hacker from Georgia, likes to fiddle with electronics, and recently he has just got a Samsung Gear Live and started playing with it. He found that Android Wear as a revision of the Android system has not fundamentally changed, still can manually put Android apps on top. So he started to install the Android app for his watch and posted a video of a smart watch running Minecraft pocket, which was popular. Then there are several paragraphs, the most popular of which is the show video of Gear Live running Windows 95.

How did he do that? He posted a tutorial on his personal website yesterday. The whole process is not complex and consists of three main steps:

1, install ADB. ADB is a program that lets developers debug Android apps on their phones. Windows users can use this tool to install and develop a setup tool called Nexus Tools for Mac and Linux, corbin.

2. Open Debug mode. First turn on the USB debugging on the Android phone (if it can't be opened, go to Settings-about the phone, click the version number continuously), then open the debug mode on the smart watch, open the settings-about and continuously click on the version number, then to the developer options click on "adb debugging" (ADB debugging) and "Debugging over Bluetooth" (Bluetooth debugging). It will then show "host:disconnected" and "target:connected".

3, install the application. An APK program is required (click here to download). Connect your phone to your computer via USB, run a command prompt, and enter "ADB devices" to display the following message:

This means that the phone is connected to the computer successfully, then to connect the watch, enter the following code:

Re-enter "adb devices" if the following message appears to indicate a successful connection:

Then you can install the APK program, enter "Adb-e install", drag the apk file to join the following code:

Press "Enter" and if "Success" appears, it is successful. Installed Android apps can be found in the Android Wear Watch app list.

Doing the above does not cause your watch to lose its warranty. As for Windows 95, it is not really running on the watch, but is running through a DOS simulator Adosbox, Adosbox is a free Andorid application that can be installed on Android Wear device with the above method.

For smart watch users, it is not practical to mount an Android app on a watch, especially when running Windows 95. But it's fun if you want to play.

The 16-year-old "hacker" is also very interesting, he said that these are not "hacker behavior." On the website, he calls himself a programmer, author, and someone else who can fix a computer in his eyes. He likes to play with technology, especially old products, and he has a game news site named powered by Redstone.
