Objective: To configure DNS and Apache
1. Nic configuration (graphical interface)
1. Start> system Settings> network> enter the Network Configuration window. Click Edit to view and save the current network configuration information (including IP address, mask, and gateway address).> close> click DNS to save the primary DNS information. Used for recovery after the experiment! (Remember ).
2. In the network configuration window, click device> Edit> modify IP address (for example, 59.77.12.X)> OK> click DNS to change the primary DNS to the local IP address> File> Save> OK ].
3. Right-click desktop> Create terminal> enter ifconfig and press enter> to check whether the NIC information is configured successfully.
2. Nic configuration (command)
1. Right-click desktop> New Terminal> enter cd .. (cd space) Press enter> enter etc/sysconfig/network-scripts press enter> enter vi ifcfg-eth0 press Enter.
2. Enter I (capital I) to enter the editing status> modify IP address, mask, and gateway> Press ESC to exit the editing status> enter: wq! (Save and exit) Press enter.
3. Input cd .. (cd Space Point) Press enter> enter cd etc press enter> enter vi resolv. conf press enter> enter I (capital I) to enter the editing status> modify DNS, Press ESC to exit the editing status> enter: wq! Press enter.
4. Enter service network restart and press Enter.
5. Start> system Settings> network> enter the Network Configuration window to check whether the IP address, mask, gateway address, and DNS are successfully configured.
Iii. DNS Configuration
1. Start> system Settings> network> enter the Network Configuration window and click DNS> change the primary DNS to the local IP address.
2. Start> system Settings> Server Settings> Domain Name Service> in the pop-up Domain Name Service window, click [new]> select a forward region> enter a domain name such as "adbrite ". cc "(remember to repeat it with your name twice. com)> main name server (SOA) Input dns. adbrite. cc. (Note that there is a "dot" next to it)> click [add]> click [name server]> enter in the Domain Name field: enter in the dns server column: local IP> In the same window, click [host]> Host Name field input: www address bar input: local IP> [OK]> select the new domain, for example, adbrite. cc> click [edit]> click [add]> Server field input: local IP address> [OK]> [OK]> [file]> [Save].
3. Right-click desktop> New Terminal> input: service named restart press enter> input: ping www. adbrite. cc or host www. adbrite. cc press enter> check whether the configuration is successful (press ctrl + c to stop ).
