Users who use Ubuntu13.04 may find a detail. In Ubuntu13.04, the return function of the & rsquo; Backspace & rsquo; key is gone. No movement is made when pressing the & rsquo; Backspace & rsquo; key in Nautilus/Thunar or Firefox (normally, the return function should be used) at first, I thought it was an aftereffect for upgrading the system, but later I learned that Ubuntu 13 was installed normally.

Neither Nautilus/Thunar nor Firefox is dynamic when you press the 'backspace' key (normally, the return function should be used)

At first, I thought it was an aftereffect for my system upgrade, but later I learned that Ubuntu 13.04 will be installed normally. This may be a new adjustment of Ubuntu 13.04.

However, in any case, the 'backspace' key's 'failed' function is a good experience for me.

Simple configuration is required for retrieval:

Retrieve the 'backspace' key 'failed' function of Ubuntu 13.04 Nautilus:

Open the terminal:

Sudo gedit ~ /. Config/nautilus/accels

Add at the bottom of the configuration file:

(Gtk_accel_path "/ShellActions/Up" "BackSpace ")

Save the settings.

Restart Nautilus:

Nautilus-q

Retrieve the 'backspace' function of the 'backspace' key of Ubuntu 13.04 Firefox:

Open Firefox and enter "about: config" in the address bar to go to the configuration page.

Search for browser. backspace_action and change its value from 2 to 0.

Retrieve the 'backspace' key 'failed' function of Ubuntu 13.04 Thunar:

Thunar is the default file browser of Xubuntu.

Modify the configuration file:

~ /. Config/Thunar/accels. scm

Add:

(Gtk_accel_path "/ThunarWindow/open-parent" "BackSpace ")

Save the settings.

Finally, note:

The return and forward shortcuts for Ubuntu 13.04 are:

Alt + forward (return) and Alt + → (forward)
