The highly-anticipated Ubuntu April 24 was released, as shown in the following figure. We can see that Ubuntu has received a high degree of attention only when its official website was almost paralyzed on the day of its release. I spent a few days installing and debugging 8.04 and now I have basically built my own Ubuntu system. I am not a system guru. At best, I can only be a computer enthusiast. I have never been familiar with Ubuntu. However, I have installed Ubuntu easily. Software Installation and system setup have always been a beginner in Linux.

Software Installation and system setup have always been difficult for beginners in Linux. This is because the operation in Linux is too different from that in Windows. But in Ubuntu8.04, you just need to check what software you need and search for it in the new force software package. Find it and install it. Terminal Operations are relatively complicated, but it is easy to go online and check related instructions or search for them directly. For ordinary users, the system has good local language support, basic application software, and a beautiful and simple desktop use environment is enough. These implementations are much easier under Ubuntu8.04 than Windows. The complete installation of Windows xp sp2 takes about half an hour to an hour, and vista takes longer. After entering the system, you need to download and install various software and optimize the settings by yourself. In addition, some system beautification and personalized settings are time-consuming and laborious. However, the installation and configuration of Ubuntu8.04 are very simple. Of course, you have provided guidance (there are many online tutorials ). In terms of beautification, Ubuntu is far more than Windows. Its flame and 3D desktop effects are dazzling and practical.

Currently, the main reason why Ubuntu is not popular is gaming and entertainment. Currently, most popular online games cannot be played under Ubuntu, and entertainment software is relatively poor, but this is only temporary. Microsoft's laissez-faire and piracy make Windows take over our computers and also affect our way of thinking. You don't need to know that Microsoft will not continue to let piracy go in the future. It will only threaten us to spend money to buy genuine products through various means. To what extent is the fight against piracy in Microsoft's hands. I dare to infer that many computers in China will become a "zombie" by some means of Microsoft one day ". What else can we do at that time? Why have European universities always opposed Microsoft's monopoly in promoting Linux? It involves information security, political, economic, and cultural aspects. However, the more important a computer is in our lives, the less secure it is to tolerate. Because of this, Linux has won several victories in many European fields.

Needless to say, at present, major computer technology forums in China are basically a hotbed of Windows piracy. On the one hand, they make money, and on the other hand, they make countless computer users use a free lunch operating system. On the surface, it seems that everyone has benefited, and only Microsoft is a big enemy. But one thing that is often overlooked is that these practices accelerate the popularization of Windows in China and curb the popularization of Linux.

Most computer users in China are now dependent on Windows. What if one day we don't have a free lunch? You will spend thousands of dollars to buy genuine vista? I will never!

Another option is Ubuntu. She is more approachable than the flashy vista. The most important thing is that she is open-source, and you can build your own proprietary system securely and personalize it. The path to Ubuntu development is gradually becoming simple and practical, and its compatibility is getting better and better. This is the only way to popularize Ubuntu.

I believe Ubuntu will surely bring us a Linux spring, and we are eager to see China coming out of the shadows of Microsoft! (Original Author: Xuan mingzi)
