Shareddrop is provided by Apple AirDrop.HTML5Version, you can directly transfer files between devices without uploading files to any server first. It uses WebRTC for secure point-to-point file transmission. Currently, shareddrop only allows you to send files to other devices on the same local network, that is, the devices use the same public IP address.
A major difference between it and AirDrop is that shareddrop requires an Internet connection to find a device, while AirDrop does not-a dedicated wireless network will be created between them. In addition, shareddrop allows sending files between mobile devices and desktop devices. Currently, it supports browsers: Chrome 33 + and Opera 20 +.
