In addition to the iphone 5/5s, the normal screen resolution is half the retina screen. This is Apple to make it easy for developers to just develop a set of interfaces and scale them proportionally. The iOS unified point of Use (dot) describes the interface dimensions.
Normal screen 1 dots = 1 pixels
Retina Screen 1 dots = 2 pixels
So, for iphone 1~4s, ITouch 1~4, you just need to develop the screen as an x 480 point. The ipad only needs to be developed based on 768 x 1024 points.
How to deal with iphone 5/5s and other devices?
The screen size of devices such as the IPhone 5/5s and itouch 5 is the same as the width of the x 568, with the length of 88 points being stretched.
